I think that January and February are the hardest months of the year. Not only is it usually very cold and miserable outside, but there is usually a lot of sickness as well. Lately it seems that everyone I know is facing some sort of trial. A lesson in relief society made me realize that though there may be many things we can complain about, there are even more reasons to rejoice. When I start feeling sorry for myself I find myself humming the hymn, "Count Your Many Blessings". And once I begin thinking of all the blessings I enjoy, I immediately start to feel better. Here are some of the blessings that I have been thinking of lately - they are mostly inspired by the trials my loved ones are facing. I am thankful for a warm house, the ability to breathe on my own, that when I get a bloody nose I don't have to worry about bleeding to death, my baby was full-term and I didn't have any complications, even though my baby got sick - he didn't have to go to the hospital, my parents are still alive, I have the blessings of the gospel and the priesthood in my life, my husband loves me and supports me, and my family and friends are very forgiving of my weaknesses. Oh, I am also thankful for all the snow - that means green grass and full ponds this summer! I could go on and on... So next time you are feeling blue, count your blessings and rejoice!

State Wrestling
Well, Stetson and I were well enough by Friday that we were able to travel with my mom up to Provo to watch the State Wrestling Tournament. Two of my brothers were participating. Jesse, a sophmore, made it to the second day of the tournament at 189 lbs. JJ is a senior, and has wrestled all four years of High School. He placed 4th his sophmore year, 5th his junior year, and 4th this year. He wrestled this year at 125 lbs. It was fun to get to see them compete, they did awesome!

The Joys of Motherhood
Becoming and being a mother is the best, and hardest thing I have ever done. I heard somewhere that pain and sorrow enlarges your heart so that you can feel more joy and love. After becoming a mother, I see that is true. I didn't think I could love anyone as much as I love my son. I think one of the hardest things is watching those you love suffer. Stetson has been sick for several days now, and it kills me to watch him suffer! I just found out today that he has RSV, but the doctor said that he is probably over the worst of it. Even though Stetson doesn't feel good, he still has a big smile ready for me, just when I need it. I love being a mom!
