Fun with the Grovers

The weekend after the 4th of July celebrations we had a little Grover family reunion, mostly just my immediate family, but we were very grateful to have Aunt Hazel, Aunt Denise and her son Ryan there too.  The festivities were held at Uncle Arvid's cabin, where there is always good food and good company . . . and plenty of fun things to do!

My cousin Ryan and the three stooges - these boys idolize Ryan!
J.D. - Stetson - Ian
Lots of fun on the trampoline!  I was so grateful no one got hurt; I didn't get a picture of my brothers, but they were doing some pretty crazy stuff!
Zach - Paige - Justin
This was Lucy's favorite, she would have been happy if we would have let her swing in this big tire swing the whole time!  Too bad she had to share it with her cousin Aspen.
Pure Joy
And here's another classic Lucy face - "the glare".  She really was happy to be sitting on Grandma Grover's lap, she just didn't want her picture taken . . . only two and she is already that opinionated - watch out!!!
If looks could kill . . .
What better place to spend a hot afternoon than on the mountain, under a truck, with your dog.  This is where she went when it was Aspen's turn on the swing:)

We took this opportunity of having the family together to present Jade with his Eagle Scout award.  He is the fourth of my five brothers to earn this prestigious award - no pressure, Jens!  Congratulations Jade!  You are amazing, and very deserving of this award!

The Boys . . . Future Eagle Scouts

The Girls . . . Future Girls Scouts, who knows?

Since the kids had so much fun on the tire swings at the cabin, Grandma and Grandpa Grover decided to invest in a "modified" tire swing for their house, and it was a hit!  The kids have played for hours on the "horse" tire swing - thanks for the fun toy Grandma and Grandpa!

When Elsie Jo was just two weeks old, she made her first move to a new house.  J.J. and Tamra are now in my ward - yay!  Now I get to see Elsie at least once a week.  So happy to have you guys!
Beautiful Elsie

Super cute!
To celebrate McKady's 15th birthday, we spent the evening out at Recapture Reservoir, which is pretty low right now by the way, but we still had tons of fun.  The kids enjoyed swimming, floating, climbing, and even fishing.
Stetson, just chillaxin' on the tube

Lucy is on top of the world!
Jens took Stetson with him in the canoe and they did some fishing.  Stetson was SUPER excited when Jens caught this big one!  And there's the birthday girl in the bottom left corner, enjoying a kayak ride herself.

Check out this big fish!!!
The best part of the evening was that it ended with a little rain, something we have been praying for a lot lately.  Happy Birthday McKady, I hope you had a great day!  We love you tons!
