About two years ago we started remodeling our upstairs. It has been a long, and sometimes frustrating, project, but SO worth it!!! We finally "finished" the last room . . . the office. Now I can really start decorating and organizing (the fun part!). So, here are a few pictures of the office project from beginning to end:

(the blue tarp is covering the hole in the roof, and the hole in the center is the stairs) |

| This picture was taken from the doorway, after the walls were finished and painted. About this time, Lucy arrived, and work on this room came to a halt. Instead of finishing the room, we used it like a shop; cutting tile and wood, and storing all our construction stuff. |
| About a year and a half later, we finally had the other rooms done enough that we could start working on the office again. We started with the ceiling, isn't it beautiful? |
| Next, we moved on to the little storage room coming off the left side of the room (behind our bedroom). Yes, we were determined to use up EVERY inch! |
| Stetson standing in the doorway to the storage room after we got the floor in. |
| Stetson and Lucy were big helpers with the finishing touches |
| And there it is, the finished room with carpet and everything! |
| Then it was time to move all the office furniture out of Stetson's room and into the new office - yay! |
| Stetson got to move up from living in this little corner of the room . . . |
| . . . to having the whole room to himself! |
| What is he going to do with all this space? |
| We decided to help him out a little by adding some furniture to his room, his very own bookshelf! |
| And this is my new office, with all the furniture moved in; Feb. 1, 2012 |

| And this is what it looks like on the outside |
I have been enjoying my new office, and dreaming of how I want to decorate. Apparently I was taking too long, so the kids decided to lend a hand. . .
| They decorated EVERYTHING, even themselves! |
| Luckily it is not permanent, but we found that the dry erase really adhears to the paint on the wall, and when we tried to scrub it off, the paint came off too |
| The good news is that it came off the furniture and doors pretty easily, we will just have to repaint the walls |
-KIDS-
ya' gotta' love 'em!

It looks awesome!
My mouth is still hanging open from the "art" your kids did. It is pretty.
You sure can't turn your back on little kiddos for long. Mischief is always brewing. Kellon has the same sort of decorating skills!
