The Great Outdoors
After spending a lot of time indoors due to runny noses, coughs, and cold weather, this sunny February day was a welcome relief. The kids enjoyed getting out, and mom enjoyed the break! As you can see, our winter has been pretty dry.

Indoor Fun
Who knew a big box could be so much fun? Kenny got a new tool box for the bed of his truck; the tool box was nice, but the box it came in was the real prize! The kids had so much fun playing and sleeping in this big box. Finally, after about a month, and multiple repairs it had to retire.

Frosty the Snowman
We didn't get a lot of snow this year, but we did get enough to build a snowman, and the kids were pumped! We had a blast building this cute little guy, and the kids were so bummed when he melted away. We love you Frosty!

Family Home Evening
It's Monday night, and Mom is calling everyone to gather for Family Home Evening. This event is usually more like a three-ring circus than a reverent spiritual event, but we try anyway. Well, on this day we had to make the circus official, the kids came dressed as animals, shaking their tails - too funny!

Happy Valentie's Day!!!
We all look forward to receiving flowers from Grandpa each year on Valentine's Day, and this year was Lydia's first. She got all dressed up for the occasion, and even smiled for the picture!

Lucy's Big Girl Bed
Well, we finally converted Lucy's crib into a big girl bed. She was so excited, she just laid there for a long time, definitely not a normal occurence!

The Popcorn Kernel
So I was vacuuming the front room one day and the kids were playing upstairs. Lucy came down with a concerned look on her face, but all she would say was "mom", while pointing to her nose. I figured she just needed a tissue, so I turned off the vacuum and went to get her one. Once I had the tissue I realized that there wasn't anything to wipe, then she started digging in her nose like something was really bugging her. A flashlight revealed the culprit, a popcorn kernel she had accidentally stuck up her nose. I tried everything I could think of to get it out. I called for Stetson's assistance, and the two of us were trying to teach this little 2 year old how to blow her nose - nothing worked. Then Stetson looked at me and said, "mom, let's say a prayer so Heavenly Father can help." I was humbled! So we knelt down and said a prayer. I went upstairs to take care of Lydia, and when I came down Lucy was holding the kernel in her hand! Her and Stetson had started chasing each other around, and the Lucy's heavy breathing had blown the kernel out! Thanks Stetson for being in tune and knowing exactly what needed to be done!!! My kids are my greatest examples!

It's every mother's nightmare, and this year it was a reality for many of us. Lydia got a cough that continued to get worse, and about day 5 she started having trouble breathing. We were grateful to be able to see Kenny's cousin, Russell, and that he was able to set us up with oxygen at home so we didn't have to stay in the hospital. As we were leaving the clinic with the oxygen, one of the nurses told us that the hospital was clear full of babies with RSV . . . so we weren't the only ones. Lydia was a trooper, and as long as she could suck on her two fingers, she didn't mind the oxygen at all.

Welcome Home Jesse!
Elder Jesse Grover returned home from serving a two year mission in Sacramento, California on February 28, 2013. We all traveled to Farmington to see him fly in. All the kids made signs, and were so excited to see uncle Jesse again. I think it was a little overwhelming for Elder Grover, but at least he knew he was loved!
