Wrestling

This was Stetson's first year of wrestling, and he had a blast! He learned a lot, and even won a couple awards. The first tournament was in Monticello, and we found out why wrestlers wear singlets as Stetson spent most of his time trying to keep his clothes on. You could tell that both him and the kids he was wrestling were at their first tournament because they weren't sure exactly what to do, but it sure was fun to watch! Stetson lost his first match, won the next two, and then lost the final match to earn 4th place!

The second tournament was in Blanding, and Stetson's uncles were the refs. Uncle Jesse was very fair and didn't play favorites, even when his nephew was wrestling! This time we had the right gear so Stetson could focus more on wrestling and less on keeping his pants up! He did really well, and had improved a lot from the week before. He lost his first match, and won the next three to earn 3rd place! He was super excited to have both of his grandmas there to watch - thanks so much for your support!

What is more fun than swimming at a motel? This was Lydia's first time swimming. She was real sure if she loved it, but at least she didn't cry!

Junior Prom

This was Jens' junior year, so we made a nice dinner for him and his prom group after they went 4-wheeling at hotel rock. His beautiful date is also his girlfriend, Tatiana Sui Sui. Lucy and Aspen LOVE "Tati nana" (as Lucy calls her), and were so excited to see her and her friends in their fancy dresses.

A Night in Paris

BYU National Dance Competition

My brother Jordan is a student at BYU, and is an amazing dancer. Him and his partner Jessi competed in this National Ballroom Dance Competition in the Latin category and took 4th place overall! They are amazing, and it was so fun to get to see them perform. Way to go Jordan!

St. Patrick's Day

We were lucky enough to get a visit from a Leprechaun this St. Patty's day, and he even made us some breakfast! Lucky Charms complete with green milk and a clover shaped piece of bread. He also made a super cute rainbow out of fruit, but the kids seemed to like what was at the beginning of the rainbow better than the treasure at the end . . . silly kids!

So this year for my birthday we took the kids to the rec center in Cortez. Other than a little motion sickness issue on the way there, it was a blast!!! After swimming we ate a super yummy dinner at Wendy's. What can I say, as the mother of three, kid-friendly is the best way to go!!!

The Royal Review

This was my first year as head coach of the San Juan Royals, and I think it was a success. These 8 girls have become some of my best friends; we have laughed together, cried together, and have learned and grown so much! We ended the year with the same team we started with and didn't have any major drama - which is a lot to say for a group of teenage girls! They ended the year with an amazing performance at the Royal Review. Way to go Ladies!!!! I love you tons!
